Every morning, an email tells you how yesterday went, what is pending today, what is running out and a few tips, with your logo at the top. The same summary stays in the register, under Today.
Choose the hour and who gets it
- In WordPress, go to WooCommerce › Dox POS and open the Assistant tab. If you use other Dox Studio plugins, it is under Dox Plugins › POS.
- In Daily summary, check that Send the summary every day is on (1). It comes on when you install the Pro.
- In At (2), choose the hour. It is the shop’s time, and the line under it names the time zone, for example “Shop time (America/New_York).” It starts at 8:00.
- In To whom (3), write the email addresses, separated by commas. Empty, it goes to the site administrator’s address.
- Click Save changes. The box below (4) confirms it, for example “The next one goes out tomorrow at 8:00”, with the addresses.
What the email says
- Subject: your brand and the day, like “YOURSHOP today, Monday, September 28”.
- At the top: the register’s logo, or the site’s if the register has none. An SVG or WebP logo, which email programs do not show well, leaves your brand name instead.
- A few lines on how yesterday went against the same day last week, how the week is going, what is urgent today with its order numbers, what is left to collect and what there is to recover.
- The figures: Sold yesterday, Profit yesterday (with costs turned on) and This week; then Pending today, What sells is running out, the Tips and the Open the register button.
Anything underlined opens in the register: an order number takes you to its detail and a product name to its page. With the demo data on, the subject starts with [Demo].
With an up-to-date licence or your own OpenAI key, the assistant writes the lines from your figures, and that uses one question a day. Without them, the same figures go out in lines written by rules. Either way, every figure comes from your shop.
In the register
- Once today’s summary is out, it shows at the top of Assistant › Today as Summary at 8:00, with sent by email or not sent by email, and written by rules when the assistant did not write it.
- Send the summary now, at the bottom of Today, puts it together and sends it at that moment, for example to see how it looks. The register says “Summary sent to” and the addresses.
Did it not arrive? It goes out from your site’s email address, like the WooCommerce emails. If the server could not send it on time, it goes out as soon as somebody opens the register. If the register says the email did not go out, the summary stays on screen and the problem is your site’s email delivery; check the spam folder too.
